SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Gunung Marapi di Kabupaten Agam dan Kabupaten Tanah Datar, Sumatera Barat mengalami erupsi dengan tinggi kolom abu capai 1 kilometer, Sabtu (4/1/2025) pagi. Hal ini dilaporkan oleh Pusat Vulkanologi dan Mitigasi Bencana Geologi (PVMBG).
"Terjadi erupsi Gunung Marapi pukul 09.43 WIB dengan tinggi kolom abu teramati sekitar satu kilometer di atas puncak gunung," kata Petugas Pengamatan Gunung Marapi Teguh.
Saat erupsi terjadi, kolom abu teramati berwarna kelabu dengan intensitas tebal condong ke arah utara dan timur laut.
Erupsi ini terekam di seismogram dengan amplitudo maksimum 30,3 milimeter dengan durasi sementara sekitar satu menit 40 detik.
Gunung Marapi kini berada di status level II (Waspada) sehingga PVMBG mengeluarkan sejumlah rekomendasi untuk masyarakat.
masyarakat, pendaki, atau pengunjung diminta tidak memasuki atau berkegiatan di dalam wilayah radius 3 kilometer dari pusat erupsi (Kawah Verbeek) Gunung Marapi.
Selain itu, mengimbau masyarakat yang bermukim di sekitar lembah, aliran atau bantaran sungai-sungai yang airnya berhulu di puncak Gunung Marapi, selalu mewaspadai potensi ancaman bahaya banjir lahar hujan yang dapat terjadi, terutama saat musim hujan.
Sementara itu, erupsi ini sempat menimbulkan kekhawatiran warga setempat, terutama yang bermukim di sekitar kawasan gunung api tersebut.
"Dentuman erupsinya cukup keras sehingga beberapa warga mengevakuasi diri ke lokasi yang lebih aman," ujar Wali Nagari (Desa) Bukik Batabuah, Kecamatan Canduang, Kabupaten Agam Firdaus.
Ia mengatakan sejak erupsi Gunung Marapi pada 3 Desember 2023 membawa dampak cukup buruk bagi warga dan lingkungan, seperti lahan pertanian tidak produktif.
Selain itu, ancaman infeksi saluran pernapasan akut (ispa) terus mengintai warga sekitar.
"Data yang sudah kami laporkan ada sekitar 500 kepala keluarga yang terdampak erupsi, belum lagi lahan pertanian yang produksinya terganggu akibat bencana ini," katanya.
