Light Rain Expected Across Most of Jakarta

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - The BMKG forecasts light rain for most areas of Jakarta and the Thousand Islands on Thursday, (12/19/2024). Only Jakarta Barat is expected to remain under heavy clouds throughout the day, according to BMKG's Instagram update.

Jakarta Pusat will see cloudy skies in the morning and light rain by the afternoon, returning to heavy clouds at night. Similarly, Jakarta Selatan and Jakarta Timur are predicted to have overcast mornings followed by light rain in the afternoon, transitioning to cloudy conditions later.

Meanwhile, Jakarta Utara will be predominantly cloudy, with light rain expected in the late afternoon. The Thousand Islands are forecast to experience light rain throughout the day.

Daytime temperatures in Jakarta are predicted to average 27°C, cooling to 25-28°C at night. BMKG advises residents to prepare accordingly for the rainy conditions.
