PBB: Israel Tolak 85 Persen Bantuan untuk Gaza Utara

SEAToday.com, Kota New York - PBB memperingatkan bahwa kondisi di Gaza Utara telah adalah “bencana” karena militer Israel “sangat mengganggu akses masyarakat untuk bertahan hidup”, Selasa (15/10).
Juru bicara Stephane Dujarric mengatakan hanya ada tiga rumah sakit yang beroperasi di Gaza Utara, dengan kapasitas yang sangat minim, serta kekurangan bahan bakar, darah, dan obat-obatan. Tak satupun dari lebih dari dua lusin pusat layanan kesehatan di Gaza Utara masih berfungsi.
PBB juga melaporkan bahwa minggu lalu distribusi bantuan paket makanan dan tepung telah dilakukan, namun “hampir tidak ada yang tersisa untuk didistribusikan”. Sebagian besar toko roti diperkirakan akan terpaksa tutup lagi hanya dalam beberapa hari.
Laporan dari OCHA mengatakan bahwa hanya satu dari 54 gerakan bantuan ke Gaza Utara yang difasilitasi oleh Israel dalam dua minggu pertama di bulan Oktober. “85 persen ditolak,” tambah Dujarric, ”sisanya terhambat atau dibatalkan karena berbagai alasan logistik atau keamanan.”
