Indonesia, Malaysia Sepakati Garis Batas Negara di Kaltara
SEAToday.com, Putrajaya - Menteri Luar Negeri Retno Marsudi memastikan persoalan garis perbatasan Indonesia-Malaysia di Kalimantan Utara sudah selesai menyusul tercapainya kesepakatan yang akan dapat segera dituangkan dalam nota kesepahaman (MoU) formal, Rabu (3/7).
Dalam keterangan persnya, Menteri Retno menyebutkan bahwa negosiasi dua segmen perbatasan darat, yaitu Pulau Sebatik dan garis Sinapad-Sesai di Pulau Kalimantan, telah selesai dan siap disahkan melalui MoU.
Kesepakatan ini membagi Pulau Sebatik menjadi 2 bagian, yaitu Indonesia di Provinsi Kaltara dan Malaysia di negara bagian Sabah.
Sementara untuk segmen perbatasan laut, Menteri Retno menyatakan bahwa negosiasi masih dilanjutkan untuk kawasan intertidal dan gap area di Laut Sulawesi. Ia berharap kedua belah pihak akan berkomitmen dalam perundingan batas maritim untuk memperoleh hasil yang baik dan saling menguntungkan.
