Satgas Ops Damai Cartenz-2024 Bersama TNI dan Polri Evakuasi 13 Warga Sipil Pasca Penyerangan KKB
SEAToday.com, Timika – Kelompok Kriminal Bersenjata (KKB) melakukan penyanderaan dan pembunuhan terhadap warga negara asing (WNA) bernama Glen Malcolm Conning asal Selandia Baru yang berprofesi sebagai pilot helikopter milik PT Intan Angkasa Air Service. KKB juga membakar helikopter jenis IWN MD 500 ER PK di Papua Tengah.
Kejadian itu membuat Satgas Ops Damai Cartenz-2024 bersama TNI dan Polri bergera menuju lokasi kejadian guna melakukan penyisiran untuk mengamankan lokasi. Kemudian usai berhasil mengevakuasi jenazah pilot, para anggota juga berhasil menyelamatkan 13 warga dari Distrik Alama pasca penyerangan tersebut.
Masyarakat yang diselamatkan itu terdiri dari 8 tenaga kesehatan, 2 guru, dan 3 anak-anak. “Evakuasi dilakukan pada Selasa (6/8), menggunakan tiga helikopter Bell yang tiba di landasan Aero Modeling Lanud Yohanis Kapiyau Mimika pada pukul 15.00 WIT,” ucap Brigjen Pol. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani selaku Ketua Satgas Ops Damai Cartenz-2024.
Sementara itu Kasatgas Humas Ops Damai Cartenz-2024, Kombes Pol. Dr.Bayu Suseno, S.H, S.I.K,M.M,M.H mengatakan para warga yang selamat akan menjadi saksi terkait kekejaman yang dilakukan KKB dengan menyerang dan membunuh WNA tersebut.
“Ke-13 masyarakat yang berhasil dievakuasi dari Distrik Alama ini telah tiba dengan selamat di Mimika. Mereka juga akan membantu penyelidikan lebih lanjut terkait peristiwa tragis ini,” ujar Kombes Pol. Dr. Bayu Suseno.
Satgas Ops Damai Cartenz-2024 bersama TNI-Polri berkomitmen menjaga keamanan dan melindungi masyarakat dari ancaman KKB di wilayah Papua Tengah.
