Tim Khusus Diterjunkan Kemenhub untuk Menyelidiki Penyebab Kecelakaan Maut di Subang
SEAToday.com, Jakarta- Direktorat Jenderal Perhubungan Darat Kementerian Perhubungan (Kemenhub) menurunkan tim khusus untuk mendalami penyebab kecelakaan bus pariwisata yang ditumpangi rombongan pelajar SMK Lingga Kencana Depok, di kawasan Ciater, Subang, Jawa Barat, pada Sabtu (11/5) petang.
“Saya lagi investigasi, saya lagi suruh tim untuk mengecek. Saya menurunkan tim investigasi dari Kementerian Perhubungan, melalui Direktorat (Jenderal) Perhubungan Darat ke lokasi untuk mengetahui apa sih masalahnya,” kata Direktur Jenderal Perhubungan Darat Kemenhub Hendro Sugiatno saat dihubungi ANTARA di Jakarta, Minggu.
Hendro menyampaikan pihaknya menerjunkan tim khusus untuk bersinergi dengan aparat kepolisian dalam melakukan investigasi penyebab kecelakaan tersebut dari sisi teknis.
“(Yang diturunkan di lokasi) ada empat orang. Intinya saya cek nanti (penyebab kecelakaan secara teknis),” ucap Hendro.
Kementerian Perhubungan juga meminta Perusahaan Otobus (PO) agar rutin melakukan uji kelaikan jalan kendaraan bus demi mencegah hal-hal yang tidak diinginkan saat dalam perjalanan.
Menurut Hendro, pengujian kendaraan bermotor (PKB) atau KIR kendaraan secara berkala sangat penting dilakukan demi mencegah atau memitigasi potensi terjadinya kecelakaan lalu lintas selama perjalanan.
Sebelumnya, sebuah bus pariwisata yang ditumpangi rombongan pelajar SMK Lingga Kencana Depok mengalami kecelakaan diduga akibat rem blong, di kawasan Ciater, Subang, Jawa Barat, pada Sabtu (11/5) petang.
Korban meninggal dunia dalam kecelakaan tersebut berjumlah 11 orang, terdiri dari sembilan siswa dan satu guru SMK Lingga Kencana, serta satu warga Subang.
