Buntut Perang Gaza, Maldives akan Larang Warga Israel Masuk ke Negaranya
SEAToday.com, Colombo - Pemerintah Maladewa akan melarang warga Israel masuk ke negara kepulauan di Samudera Hindia yang terkenal dengan resor-resor mewahnya tersebut. Hal ini menanggapi protes masyarakat Maladewa sebagai negara berpenduduk mayoritas Muslim atas konflik yang terjadi di Gaza.
Staf presiden Maladewa mengatakan, Minggu (2/6) bahwa Kabinet memutuskan untuk mengubah undang-undang guna mencegah pemegang paspor Israel memasuki Maladewa dan membentuk sub-komite untuk mengawasi proses tersebut.
Presiden Maladewa Mohamed Muizu akan menunjuk seorang utusan khusus untuk menilai kebutuhan warga Palestina dan meluncurkan kampanye penggalangan dana.
