Kurikulum Merdeka Akan Diwajibkan pada Tahun 2024

SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Kepala Badan Standar, Kurikulum, dan Asesmen Pendidikan Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset dan Teknologi Anindito Aditomo mengatakan, survei PISA 2022 menunjukkan pemulihan belajar siswa-siswi Indonesia pasca pandemi. Pemulihan ini diharapkan terjaga lewat implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka yang rencananya menjadi kurikulum wajib pada 2024.

Kurikulum Merdeka mulai diterapkan secara sukarela pada 2022. Sebanyak 140.000 sekolah per 2022 mengimplementasikan kurikulum baru ini. Di tahun 2023, 160.000 sekolah tercatat sudah menjalankan Kurikulum Merdeka.

Anindito menjelaskan, sekolah perlu bertransformasi secara keseluruhan agar ekosistem pendidikan di daerah meningkat. Strateginya yakni melalui peningkatan kualitas guru, kepala sekolah, kurikulum dan pembelajaran, serta evaluasi dan penjaminan mutu. Poin-poin inilah yang akan diimplementasikan melalui Kurikulum Merdeka tersebut.
