Indonesian Citizens in Cambodia to Vote Early on February 10, 2024
Indonesian Elections 2024

SEAToday.com, Jakarta-Indonesian citizens in Cambodia will vote for the 2024 elections earlier than scheduled, on Saturday 10th February.

Chairman of the Phnom Penh Overseas Election Committee, Roland Uly Uju, said the voting date had been proposed and approved by the Indonesian General Election Commission. This adjustment was made to accommodate the conditions of Indonesian citizens in Cambodia, especially on February 14, which falls on a Wednesday, making it difficult to obtain a work permit.

Apart from Cambodia, The Indonesian General Election Commission Chairman, Hasyim Asy'ari mentioned that the Overseas Election Commisions in several Arab countries would also conduct early voting on Friday 9th February

Voting abroad can be done in three ways, namely voting by post, through mobile ballot boxes , and voting directly at polling stations abroad.
