Update Banjir Bandang Sumatra Barat: Korban Tewas Bertambah Jadi 43, 15 Hilang
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana (BNPB) mencatat sebanyak 43 orang meninggal dunia akibat banjir bandang lahar dingin di Sumatra Barat sejak Sabtu malam (11/5). Menurut keterangan resmi BNPB, Senin (13/5), tim pencarian menemukan enam jenazah lainnya per pukul 13.00 WIB dengan rincian lima korban tewas merupakan warga Kabupaten Tanah Datar dan satu orang warga Padang Pariaman. Sebelumnya, data per Minggu (12/5) malam, jumlah korban tewas tercatat sebanyak 37 orang.
Kepala Pusat Data, Informasi, dan Komunikasi Kebencanaan BNPB Abdul Muhari menjelaskan, rincian korban meninggal dunia tersebut antara lain di Kabupaten Agam 19 orang, Kabupaten Tanah Datar 14 orang, Kabupaten Padang Pariaman delapan orang, Kabupaten Padang Panjang dua orang. Sementara itu, korban dalam pencarian sebanyak 15 orang.
BNPB mengimbau masyarakat yang bermukim di sekitar lokasi kejadian agar selalu waspada dari potensi bahaya susulan. Masyarakat diharap mengungsi ke tempat yang lebih aman. (DHITA/ DKD)
