SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Kerajaan Arab Saudi memberikan umrah gratis untuk 50 warga Indonesia. Informasi tersebut disampaikan oleh Duta Besar Arab Saudi untuk Indonesia, Faisal bin Abdullah Al-Mudi, di Kedutaan Besar Arab Saudi di Jakarta, Selasa (2/1).
Para peserta umrah ini mulai beribadah pada 3-14 Januari yang berasal dari berbagai kalangan serta berbagai daerah di Indonesia.
Undangan ini merupakan arahan langsung dari Raja Salman dan bentuk perhatiannya kepada umat Islam di dunia, mengingat Indonesia merupakan salah satu negara dengan jumlah muslim terbesar. Sebelumnya, Kerajaan Arab Saudi juga memberikan program haji gratis.
Dubes Faisal menyebutkan program umrah dan haji gratis ini berjalan masing-masing sehingga siapapun dapat mengajukan program tersebut.
