SEAToday.com, Bethlehem - Israeli forces attacked Palestinian West Bank areas near and in Nablus, Jericho, Ramallah, and Bethlehem on Christmas Day, Monday (12/25). Christmas celebrations in places believed by Christians to be the birthplace of Jesus Christ became quiet and deserted due to the attacks.

Israel also occupied the Jenin refugee camp using flare bombs. Jenin camp is a symbol of Palestinian resistance to occupation. In addition, a 17-year-old teenager was injured after he was hit in the neck when Israeli forces fired during a raid in Aqaba city.

The West Bank has seen surging violence and arrests in parallel to Israel’s war on the Gaza Strip, which has killed more than 20,000 Palestinians.
