Indonesia Ditunjuk Jadi Tuan Rumah World Science Forum 2026
SEAToday.com, Jakarta - Indonesia akan menjadi tuan rumah World Science Forum (WSF) ke-12 yang akan diselenggarakan pada 2026. Sekretaris Utama Badan Riset Inovasi dan Riset Nasional (BRIN) Nur Tri Aries Suestiningtyas mengatakan, penunjukan tersebut diumumkan saat penutupan WSF ke-11 di Gedung Parlemen Hungaria, Budapest, 20-23 November.
Dalam keterangan tertulis, Rabu (27/11), Nur menyampaikan rasa bangga atas terpilihnya Indonesia sebagai tuan rumah ajang tersebut. Nur menekankan, Indonesia siap menyambut para ilmuwan dunia dalam perhelatan bergengsi yang menghubungkan komunitas ilmiah, pembuat kebijakan, dan masyarakat global.
Agenda WSF ke-12 yang rencananya akan diselenggarakan di Jakarta akan mengangkat tema besar “Science for Global Resilience and Equality". Dalam pertemuan bilateral dengan President Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA), Indonesia menyatakan komitmen untuk menyelenggarakan WSF dengan memperhatikan isu-isu krusial global, seperti transformasi, kesetaraan, dan efisiensi kebijakan di bidang sains.
